The Iverson Ranch's original western street was built for the Gary Cooper film Along Came Jones (1945). When the movie was finished, the set was left in place; subsequently it was added to and used in many more movies and TV shows.
It was situated along the eastern edge of the ranch about half a mile above Santa Susana Pass Road. Today a mobile home park is on the old site.![]()
In Black Hills (1948), the church was located on the south end of town. Because it doesn't appear in every movie, it must have been re-locatable as necessary.
