or Bayley, as the name was then spelled, was Jerry's first emigrant
ancestor. He came from England on the ship BEVIS in 1638. He was
one of the founders of Haddam, Connecticut.

in Hartford, Connecticut.

son of John2 (John1) and Elizabeth GERARD Bailey, was born 1 January

son of Ephraim Bailey (John2, John1) and Deborah BRAINERD Bailey, the fourth
generation in America was a soldier in the French War and the
Revolutionary War.

son of Thomas Bailey (Oliver, Ephraim, John 2, John1) and Esther
SMITH Bailey was born 03 November 1789, Haddam, Middlesex, CT,
and died 07 June 1862, Davis Co., Iowa. He was a taxpayer in Canton
Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania when that county was formed
in 1812.
ORANGE7 BAILEY, son of Smith Bailey (Thomas, Oliver,
Ephraim, John 2, John1) and Rosemanty ROGERS Bailey was born 11
March 1811, Canton Twp., Bradford Co., PA, and died June 18, 1905
in Davis Co., IA. He had 20 children from two wives. He settled
in Marion Township, Davis County, Iowa Territory in 1845.
DAVID SOLOMON8 BAILEY, son of Orange Bailey
(Smith, Thomas, Oliver, Ephraim, John 2, John1) and Lydia WAGGONER
Bailey, lost his leg at the battle of Brices Cross Roads in Mississippi
during the Civil War Record. He served with Co G, 3rd Iowa Cavalry.
DAVID JACKSON9 BAILEY, son of David Solomon
Bailey (Orange, Smith, Thomas, Oliver, Ephraim, John 2, John1)
and Sophia BOYD Bailey, cowboy'd in
Nebraska in the 1880s then traveled West to Pioneer a homestead
in Kendrick, Idaho before 1901. His wife, Lillian Amanda (PIERCE) Bailey, comes from
a QUAKER heritage that traces HALLOWELL and TYSON family lines back to England
and Holland before 1683 when William Penn came to America.
FRANK JACKSON10 BAILEY, son of David Jackson
Bailey (David Solomon, Orange, Smith, Thomas, Oliver, Ephraim,
John 2, John1) and Lillian Amanda PIERCE Bailey, homesteaded in
Kalispell, Montana about 1912, and then moved to Idaho in a covered
wagon about 1918.
ABRAHAM LINCOLN BROWN, son of John Galloway
Brown (Samuel R., Solomon) and Lucy (PASSINO) Brown, who homesteaded
and logged in Creston, Montana during the late 1890s. His descendants
are still there. His wife was Neva PLYMPTON BROWN
